Seaside {Final Installment}

On our last day, we decided to spend the day in Seaside.  As luck would have it there happened to be a parade going thru town, to mark some obscure holiday.  Livi was thrilled, there were lots of princesses and cheerleaders, and Gage loved the old fashion fire trucks and fancy cars that went by.

We went to the Seaside Aquarium and fed the sea lions...

and touched some starfish,
then we went over to ride the carousel.  The hardest part is picking which animal to ride!
As is turned out it was a really hot and muggy day, so we stopped in for some ice cream.  Once again, the hardest part is picking which one you want!

Pretty soon, the fun ended and it was time to head back home.  The dreaded car ride. We tried to break it up a bit and stopped in Portland for lunch, and then stopped at Multnomah Falls and made the kids get out and do some hiking.
It was a really warm day, and the kids had all the energy in the world so up they went, with their lazy tired parents dragging behind them.

At about switchback 7 of 11, we finally called it, and said maybe another time we can hike to the top.  Don't get me wrong, those two kids would have marched right up to the top without looking back, but with Van on my back and flip flops for hiking boots, we opted to catch the view a different day.
Please excuse the randomness of the next few pics, but I'm tired and my Photoshop is on the fritz, so here they are, in their uncut and unedited state.

Goobye Oregon, see you again soon!
