Of course with this typical spring weather we've been having, we woke up to lots of rain -- but that didn't deter me from taking the kids to Temple Square. We left Dax in the dry hotel room, and headed downtown.
I was a little disappointed that the kids weren't more excited about being on Temple Square, even if it was pouring rain and freezing cold, and we had to walk a long way from where we parked. Okay, I get it, it wasn't ideal-- but they warmed up a bit once we were inside the visitor's center.
It was a proud moment for me when they actually recognized the pictures and the stories that were being displayed. Chalk one up for FHE!
Soon enough I decided that they were wet and cold and hungry enough that we could finally go. Not a minute too soon for Gage. After some lunch at Gateway mall, we headed over to the Children's Discovery Museum. Van was in heaven. Let's just say, fun was had by all.
Soon enough everyone was exhausted and we headed back to the hotel for more swimming. Dax wrapped up his project and was able to join the fun on Monday. We shopped Ikea and then took the kids down to Thanksgiving Point to go to the petting zoo.
We fed lots of animals, rode a few ponies, spent some time in jail, and saw lots of tractors. It was a big day!
Soon enough it was time for these cows to head on home. Thanks SLC for a great weekend, let's do it again soon.
