Girls in Arizona

So the girls and I decided we were in desperate need of girls weekend away.  We got our calendars out and put our heads together and planned ourselves a lovely 4 day weekend at the Kennedy's vacation home in Arizona.  We left the frigid arctic February Idaho weather and headed for the desert sun.

I left ahead of the other girls to spend an afternoon eating and shopping with Laurie.  She took me to a fantastic little place where the bruschetta was to die for. And we shopped and bought sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Um yum, and old friends are the best.

She showed me the sights of her new hometown and took me to do some hardcore shopping, which of course required us to stop at Sprinkles and order us some sustenance for survival.
Laurie dropped me off and finally met all the girls and headed home to her family.

The girls and I started off with a necessary pedicure and then off to dinner.  The next morning we decided that since the new Gilbert Temple was still open for tours, we wanted to see it.

It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful temple - glad to see it with my friends.

We ate...

 we shopped...

and played cards.

One night we decided to go on a walk and stopped for an impromptu photo shoot.  Did I mention we're goofy?

We even tracked down the waffle truck for a late night dessert, and man was it worth every decadent calorie!

It was a well deserved break for this mom! Thanks for all the memories and the laughs!
