So he's finally walking, and by that I mean running! He is such an efficient crawler, it was hard to imagine he'd think walking was much of an advantage. He started off by trying to stand without using the couch or anything else for balance, and once he got that figured out, there was no stopping him. Everyday it seems he's figured out a new trick. He's found that it is such an advantage to be able to use his hands while he's motating, so he either carries his blanket or a ball with him wherever he goes. Being the kidder that he is, he still thinks that falling on his bum is the funniest trick. He'll stand and fall, stand and fall over and over again just to make us all laugh. He performs the very best when he has an audience, and Livi can't get over telling us to "look, look, he's walking" everytime he takes a step. I think it's been very exciting to her to see his progress. She can't believe that she had to learn to walk when she was a baby too, in fact, she's pretty sure she knew how when she was born. Or she'll say, "Mom at least I didn't fall down that much." Her memory is sketchy at best when it comes to the details of her own life. She can't imagine that she has been anything other than a very smart 3 1/2 year old!
Anyway, you can see how proud of himself he is as he struts around the house. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. This picture pretty much tells it all, he's just become a blur as he races around the house. Go Gager Go!

Even though Gage has mastered the art of walking, he still lacks a bit in the stairs category. Here's his head wound he got when he took a tumble down the patio steps at my mom's house. He was such a tough guy and hardly even cried, even though it looks like we beat him with a bat! I saw a sign the other day that read 'Definition of a Boy: Noise with Dirt on it' I think that pretty much sums up our little guy. Here's to many more cool scars!

Oh and for those of you who are wondering, Gage had tubes put in his ears last Friday. He's had so many ear infections that we seem to have lost count, so we're hoping this will lead to a happier baby. He was such a trooper through the surgery, even though it lasted only minutes, he seemed to feel somewhat better immediately. Here's to walking more, falling less, and a happier you! We love you.

Oh my goodness, what a smoochable, loveable, little bundle of cuteness! I love this stage, walking--toddling, and laughing the whole time. I love that he thinks he is funny when he plants himself down on his bottom. Anything for a good laugh, that also seems to be another boy characteristic!
How cute! What a mover and a shaker. Gage still seems so young to me, it's hard to believe he's walking already. He's such a handsome boy.
Can't believe he's walking! What a litle cutie! Can't wait to see him and chase him all over. When are you coming to CA?!
