So after the excitement of the dance recital subsided - and let me add, that didn't take very long, we enjoyed the rest of the weekend with grandma and grandpa. Dax and Livi took grandma and grandpa to see the sights at Cabela's and came home with a pretty pink fishing pole. Liv practiced, and became pretty good at casting all around the living room while we watched the horserace (sorry Big Brown, I guess this wasn't your year). So after sending grandpa back to the hotel for a nap, we took the new casting pro off to Settler's Park to put her new skills to the test at the fishing pond.

Gage didn't find fishing very interesting at all, so he played ball and tried his best to scare all the fish by trying to wade out to the middle of the pond. If you'll notice, I don't have any pictures to show off our big catch, and that could be because we didn't make one, although everyone around us seemed to be having better luck. I guess 3 year olds with the attention span of about 15 minutes don't make very good fishermen! Maybe next time.
